MetaQuotes announced today on the MQL4 forum that the long awaited MetaTrader 5 client terminal will finally be available for testing by the general public in the very near future. According to the announcement:

US broker Manhattan Beach Trading (usually known simply as MB Trading) introduced demo ECN MetaTrader 4 accounts way back at the start of this year. They have just announced that at long last their live ECN MT4 accounts are available:

With the benefit of an apparently hasty translation from the Russian original the MQL4 community website has just published an English language review by one of the MT5 closed beta testers that includes some pictures of the beta version of the MetaTrader 5 client terminal in action.

Our regular readers will have gathered by now that we are based in the United Kingdom. As UK residents that means if we use a spread betting account to do our forex trading we pay no tax on our profits! This is obviously highly desirable, but there is a drawback. The vast majority of spread betting brokers don't allow you to use automated trading systems.

A couple of months ago FXCM told us that they were working on educational materials to explain the changes involved in complying with the new NFA "hedging" and FIFO regulations to their customers. Here is one of FXCM's new educational videos explaining to their customers how to manage risk in this brave new world of forex orders without built in stops. To summarise, FXCM are introducing a new type of order called "One Cancels the Other" or OCO for short, which will already be familiar to many futures traders.

Woe is me! It looks like I made a big mistake earlier today when I foolishly tried to save some money by buying FapTurbo Evolution using my own ClickBank hoplink. I really wish I'd read all those emails from the Forex MegaDroid team properly. I got another email from Albert and John this afternoon, and I did read it carefully. I thought it was going to be a reply to my support ticket about memory apparently leaking from their Droid, but I was mistaken.

An email from the Forex MegaDroid team was waiting for me in my inbox this morning. It seems they will be releasing a new version of their robot before the end of the month, which is when the first-in first-out provisions of NFA compliance rule 2-43(b) finally come into force.

I logged into our virtual private server this morning, excited at the prospect of writing about our first month's live Forex MegaDroid testing using real money. That will now have to wait for a while, because I discovered something even more interesting. The Forex MegaDroid robot had completely stopped working, and not for the first time!
