Hi Patrick, Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds as though you're with Forex.com. MegaDroid works with MetaTrader 4, not ForexTrader. My first question is why do you want to use Forex MegaDroid at all? In our live account the Droid lost money during August! Assuming you still want to experiment with Forex MegaDroid and you're happy with Gain Capital (who own Forex.com) you could open a MetaTrader account with Forex.com UK. Alternatively you could change to any one of numerous MetaTrader brokers who are anxious to get their hands on your money. If you really want to stick with Forex MegaDroid and ForexTrader then you'd have to get hold of some software that allows you to use a MetaTrader expert advisor to place orders using the Forex.com AutoEX API. We have experimented with that sort of thing here at the Trading Gurus, but we don't sell such software. We can't understand why anyone would want to buy it! Jim

I'm a total novice at this so my question may seem dumb to the veterans. My broker uses the ForexTrader platform. Will megadroid work with this platform, or is possible to use metatrader logged on to my brokers web site?

Hi David,

Thanks for your comment. We have certainly run low on memory more recently. I restarted our live Droid's MT4 again this morning, and already its VM has expanded to use over 80 Mb. That's at least twice as much as other instances of MT4 that have been running happily for months without a problem. How much memory have your Droids consumed?

In this case simply logging in again was sufficient to start the flow of quotes once more, followed eventually by some trades. This one sounds more like a platform issue than a problem with the expert advisor, but then again I've never seen it happen with other EAs.

On a slightly different note, have you had any losing trades since March 20th on your live accounts?

I run multiple MT4 instances with MegaDroid and don't have any of the problems you seem to be having. You might be running low on memory or may be running up against internal resource limitations of windows if you run too many instances of meta trader. Try splitting into two VPS accounts and see if your problem goes away. It is a cheap way to troubleshoot your platform problem. FYI, I have been running MD on two live accounts and three demo accounts since shortly after it was released.
